It's not up to me whether NI accepts that I never uninstalled the software tied to the license I no longer own while still having a new valid license to it and I tend to avoid discrepancies that could, however unlikely, result in an infringement scenario.
I'd say it's less about assuming it's a problem and more about record keeping and licensing accuracy.

Maybe it's just a visual aspect to the activation of an expansion on the local machine, but I technically do not own the Serial Number (A) listed in Native Access while still having a valid Serial Number (B) that could be applied instead.

It just seems like there should be an easier way to update your local computer licenses so that when you sell an individual license, Native Access will update your activation/registration with an owned license such as a bundle that includes it. * If I rename/delete the file mentioned in the ras3 directory, Native Access reregisters the expansion under the K13CE Serial Number B without redownloading and reinstalling * If I reinstall the expansion through Native Access, it downloads it again, installs over the existing installation, and now shows registered under the K13CE Serial Number B I am looking for an easy way to change the existing installation of Transistor Punch from Serial Number A to Serial Number B without uninstalling and reinstalling so there is no trace of Serial Number A on my computers as I no longer own it, but still hold a license for the expansion via Serial Number B * Transistor Punch also happens to be licensed by the K13CE Serial Number B * I submitted the License Transfer request to have Serial Number A removed from my account to resell to someone else * I recently purchased and registered the Komplete 13 Collector's Edition with Serial Number B which includes Transistor Punch * I purchased and registered and installed the Transistor Punch expansion individually with Serial Number A 2e) Open Native Access and it automatically reregisters the instrument/expansion under the bundle license 2d) Search for and rename/delete a file named as the UPID in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\Native Access\ras3 2c) Copy the UPID from inside the XML file 2b) Find and open the instrument/expansion XML file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center 2a) Submit the license transfer to have the license(s) removed from your account This involves cross referencing two files in separate locations by UPID, but at least it doesn't require wasting unnecessary bandwidth Can use a lot of bandwidth to cover multiple packagesĢ) Delete or rename the license file (not as wasteful, but tedious) This involves redownloading the entire package and reinstalling There seems to be only two ways to update the license from individual to bundle and neither seems optimal.ġ) Reinstall the instrument/expansion (simple, but wasteful) Looking to offload duplicate licenses, so need to reregister them locally on my computers.
